This is one of the easier trekking peaks in Nepal, just to the north of Kathmandu in the beautiful Langtang valley region, this 5500 meters peak does not require mountaineering experience. Climbing Yala Peak and trek through Langtang is one of the easiest, romantic, wonderful and adventurous climbing peak and trek in Nepal. Prior climbing experience is not required though, previous outdoor experience & average level of fitness is recommended.It has unparallel natural beauty with a combination of cultural riches.Langtang region has over seventy glaciers of different sizes, the Langtang & Ganesh Himal mountain ranges, and high-altitude lakes including Gosaikunda, Parvatikunda, Bhairavkunda, and Dudhkunda.

We drive from Kathmandu for 5 hours to reach Dhunche or Syabru Bensi. From farmland of Dhunche our trek commences up the valley for four days passing through the pristine forest of Rhododendron blooming from pink  to red, conifer, towering grass bamboos, Oaks and pines, narrow Georges of Langtang river ascending up the beautiful Langtang valley up to the vast alpine grassland of Kyangjing Gompa (3,900 m) which is situated below Langtang below Langtang Lirung (7,246 m). Here we spent three days acclimatizing our self and taking day hikes in spectacular surroundings exploring the Langshisa glacier and observing Yaks grazing around with their background offering the views of snowy peaks of Langtang Ri, Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa and many others around you. We established base camp at Yala Kharka (4,600m) in some meadows and next day we climb Yala peak. After summiting the Yala peak we return back to base camp and back to Kathmandu via the same route.

Day 1

Arrive In Kathmandu.

Our representative will meet you in airport and transfer to hotel. After refreshment move for sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.

Day 2

Full Day Kathmandu Sightseeing.

After morning breakfast you'll visit different historical and cultural sites of the Kathmandu valley with our professional guide. You will go for the pilgrimage sites of Hindus temple Pashupatinath, the world biggest Boudhanath stupa and visit Swoyambhunath stupa also known as monkey temple. After exploring the surrounding areas visit historical Kathmandu Durbar square with temple, unique architectures and kumari (living goddess).

Day 3

Drive To Syabru Bensi (1550/5100ft).

Today, After morning breakfast we drive out along the north-western hills of Kathmandu for about 7-8 hours. You will witness nice scenery of white snowcapped mountains like Mt. Annapurna II, Manaslu, Ganesh himal and other minor peaks along the route and as well as green sceneryn of hillock, river and village. Enjoy the himalayan views and mountains lifestyle through the terraced fields and rustic villages. We descend down the Syabrubesi for the overnight stay.

Day 4

Trek Syabru Bensi To Lama hotel (2,450m).

The first day excitment trail crosses through the Bhote Koshi river flowing down from Tibet & following the Langtang Khola. After a visit to the Gompa of Guru Rinpoche, follow the stone-paved main street out of town over Langtang Khola. The trail goes through the sub tropical forest which is cover by Oak and maple, massive spruce, fir & blue pine. The variety wildlife; yellow-throated martens, wild boars, Langur monkeys, red pandas & Himalayan black bears etc. are inhabitance of the forest.Afterwards, your trek ascends gently to Rimche (2400m).And at the end your trail is level to the Lama hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 5

Trek To Langtang village (3,430m).

Today, the day start with a gentle climb, but it soon becomes steeper, climbing through wild forests of hemlocks, Oaks, maples and white and pink Rhododendrons high above the Langtang Khola. The tantalizing glimpse of snow capped peaks start appearing along with fleeting view of Mt. Langtang Lirung (7244m) through the trees. The trail leads to a log bridge and on climbing further we come across lush meadows of Ghore Tabela (2992m).The trail crosses a stream and climbs past several water driven mills and prayer wheels to the large settlement of Langtang (3430m), headquarters of Langtang National park. The village has flat-roofed Tibetan style house and elaborately carved driven windows of the upper village is worth exploring. Valley is surrounded by stone walls enclosing fields where buckwheat,potatoes, wheat, turnips and barley are planted & easy to find yak and the wild goats wondering around you.

Day 6

Trek To Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m).

The trail winds through the village and climbs a ridge topped by a large chorten. It then climbs gradually past an impressive mani wall, crossing a stream to the small village of Mundu (3442m). After crossing several small streams with wooden cantilever bridges and moraines, you can finally see the monastery of Kyanjin Gompa and the dramatic icefall flowing from the peaks of Langtang Lirung and Kimshung. The surroundings are interesting also because of the famous Government operated cheese factory. After having many smaller uninhabited valleys. Spend your night back to the Kyanjin.

Day 7

Acclimatization Day In Kyanjin.

Today is the rest & exploration day of the trekking. We visit the monastery and the cheese factory or may walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyanjin ri (4350m) and Tserko Ri (5,000m), which is the highest point of this trek.Hike easy for breath taking Panorama of the Langtang Lirung, Langtang range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji. We also have options to do a side trip to Langshisa Kharka. There are several alternatives sided trips, the surrounding areas of north having many smaller uninhabited valleys. spend your night back to Kyanjin.

Day 9

Kyanjin Gompa to Yala Peak Base camp (5,732m).

Today, We climb to the first base camp of Yala peak at the height at the height of 5732m.This is a short training day for the climb to the summit next day.Overnight at Guesthouse on BLD Basis.

Day 10

Base Camp-Summit (Yala peak)- Return To Kyanjin Gompa.

We will start an early climbing to the summit of Yala peak with our crew. It would be great pleasure to feel the conquering of the peak. It offers superb panorama vistas scenery from here. After having some rest we return back to the Kyanjin Gompa for the rest.

Day 11

Kyanjin Gompa To Lama Hotel.

Have your breakfast with observing surrounding genetic snowy capped mountains breathtaking view.We will follow the same trail back following the Langtang Khola to Langtang village & on to Ghora Tabela. After having a lunch stop continue steep descend to Lama hotel.All the way downhill you will see fantastic views of towering mountain what you have missed on the way up.

Day 12

Lama hotel trek to Big Syabru Bensi (2,230m)

The beginning trail gently descends along the river to the landslide then passes through pine and junipeers forests steeply up to Thulo (Big) syabru. The trail offers magnificent views of red pandas,boar,monkeys and various species of birds. The Tamang cultural heritage "Thulo Syabru Gauun" preserves wonderful ethnic custom, culture and their traditional. Here, you can enjoy the amazing landscape and the magnificent nature with splendid views of Ganesh himal (7110m), Langtang himal and its ranges. Rest of the day explore around the small village of Syabru.

Day 13

Big Syabru Bensi to Sing Gompa (3,330m).

The trails lead us from Thulo Syabru follows a steep path passing through Dursagang (2735m), passing alpine of chotens. Along with the breathtaking views of Langtang himal, Ganesh himal, Tibetan mountain, the trail continues steeply through the forests of Oak and hemlock and then less steeply through Rhododendron forest and pastures to the top of the ridge at Phoparng Danda (3190m). Then the path gently ascends for a while and follows a flat level to the Sing Gompa. The laocal wel managed cheese factory and a Buddhist monastery's can be the visiting places which provides panoramic views, exhilarating nature. Spend your night at teahouse.

Day 14

Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda Lake (4,460m).

The trail today two parts. Initially the trail climbs steeply up a ridge that marks a transition zone between rich, moist mountain forests and dry scrub vegetation on the slopes. Slope is the sanctuary for the red pandas and providing magnificent view of snowcapped Ganesh himal. The trail to LauriBinayak (3920m) is steep & continues for three hours. We follow a rugged trail with dramatic views to the west; Manaslu range, Ganesh himal range, Tibetan peaks and to the north also across the valley is Langtang Lirung.

Day 15

Gosaikunda To Ghopte (3,440m).

After explore around at Gosaikunda, we start a bit challenge day. The trail traverses the northern side of Gosaikunda lake & climbs on a rocky trail. We climb through rugged country, crosses glacier moraines and past four small lakes to the Laurebina La (4610m). On a clear day we can see Annapurna range through the way. Then the trail leads us steeply down to Phedi (3740m). From here, the route drops to the stream then climbs through the Scrub Bamboo to a crest. Continue walk down throughout crossing a rocky hill with pine, rhododendron trees to Ghopte. At night you can see the lights of Trishuli Bazaar far below & Kathmandu glow behind the hills to the west.

Day 16

Ghopte To Tharepati (3,510m).

Today, Descending from the ridge at Ghopte, the trail makes numerous ups and downs across ravines and the boulders of old moraines. The trail slightly descends and then begins to ascend through the Rhododendron, Oak & juniper forests up to the Tharepati. A steep path rises above the village to a fluttering white prayer flag on a windswept hilltop, offering a perfect panorama of the Langtang Himalaya. Spend your day strolling around the village

Day 17

Tharepati To Gul Bhanjyang (2,800m)

Heading east from Tharepati, the trail drops rapidly down the ridge. The path passes pine and Rhododendron forest rich with bird life along with good views down into the Helambu valley. This is an interesting typically old-fashioned Helambu village. Attractive mountain views as well as local peoples life style, culture; customs would be worth making you glad.

Day 18

Gul Bhanjyang To Chisopani (2,140m).

A pleasant walk down to the Pathi Bhanjyang goes through forests. A shorter day but with descends and climbs to chisopani, where the view of the whole central Himalayas is breathtaking. We can see Himalayan range from Manaslu to Everest. Landscapes will be reflective in the evening and early morning hours.

Day 19

Chisopani To Sundrijal To kathmandu.

We start the day by climbing up the last pass of the trek at Borlang Bhanjyang, at 2240m. From here we descend steeply through deeply ereoded chasms towards the Tamang settlement of Mulkharka (1800m). More super views while descending to the road through Oak & Rhododendron forests, with some pine a lower altitude. Now it is a short trek to sundrijal as we walk past the local water supply system & follow the water pipe to this village. From Sundrijal we can take local transportation or have our private transport waiting for us to bring us back to Kathmandu for about 3-4 hours.
